30 A.D. Ministry in the 21st Century

I am absolutely convinced that the same methodology the early church used must be employed by the 21st Century church. The Acts 2 model shows they had worship, fellowship, discipleship, serving in ministry, and sending people out. Of course they employed those things through the Holy Spirit and we must do the same.
Yes we should use appropriate technology and current trends should be acknowledged, but Jesus said, "I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!"

Pastor,
How is The Church able to produce the kind of care and intimacy that must have been present. Having a few services can not, it seems to me, produce relationship that occurs in the type of community implied in Acts.
They had all things in common. They shared in one another's lives in a way I have not yet found and am unable to comprehend in the traditional clergy/laity system I have seen. What do we do?

It will be hard to do until we lose our independent, lone ranger, self reliance attitudes. I know I am as guilty as the next guy.
Church life has to move beyond the four walls of the sanctuary.
To that end I am committed to reaching the men of my church where they live. We are doing things together as groups, outside of the church setting like, handgun competitions, cookouts, Superbowl Sunday, game nights, etc. But it has to move even beyond that into real friendships.
